• (November 1, 2016) After 10+ years with Mentor Partners' Hot AC WYBR (Y102)/Big Rapids, MI, OM/morning personality Brian Goodenow is stepping down to become an instructor at a local tech school. Owner/GM Jeff Scarpelli said, "Brian is the ultimate professional and his hard work and dedication will be missed." Goodenow's career change means a great opportunity is now available for someone with multi-format programming skills, social media expertise and great attention to detail to step into an OM role over four stations -- Hot AC WYBR, Country WWBR (Big Country 100.9), News-Talk WBRN-AM and Classic Rock Rewind 99.1 (WWBR-HD2) as well as host the morning show on WYBR. Qualified candidates are invited to send their packages to Jeff Scarpelli at careers@bigrapidsradionetwork.com ASAP.

In the interim, Columbus, OH-based programming pro Mark Elliott has graciously agreed to step into the role of interim OM of the cluster. "I've known Jeff for a long time and am happy to help him out during the transition," Elliott said. "Plus. I'm looking forward to seeing a few Ferris State Bulldogs hockey games!"
Elliott was most recently PD/morning personality for Cumulus Classic Hits WRQN/Toledo, OH. His resume includes seven years as PD of South Central Media's WIKY/Evansville, IN, an earlier stint with Northern Broadcast Group in Traverse City, MI and he runs his own consultancy, Radio One 2 One. Elliott can be reached at 812-629-8282 or markelliott1@me.com.

• (December 16, 2017) Erik Etchison is the newly named Operations Manager for Mentor Partners' Hot AC WYBR (Y-102) & WWBR (Big Country 100.9)/Big Rapids, MI. He will also do mornings on Y-102. Etchison is a Michigan native who was most recently with Saga in Harrisonburg, VA, preceded by a stint in mornings at WMOM/Ludington, MI. Etchison said, "I'm really excited to take this step in furthering my career in broadcasting and incredibly thankful to [Mentor Partners Owner] Jeff Scarpelli and Mentor Partners for granting me this opportunity."

Etchison's arrival marks the end of Mark Elliott's triumphant reign as interim Operations Manager. "I've had fun up here with the folks from Big Country and Y102," Elliott said. "I'm very complimented that Jeff Scarpelli reached out to me to help." Elliott will now trudge through the snow back home to Columbus, OH, but is available after the first of the year on a per-project basis anywhere in the U.S. He can be easily contacted at 812-629-8282 or markelliott1@me.com.
